Digital Security Specialist

The Opportunity

TSG is looking for an Digital Security Speacialist to work on our team. We are looking for a confident communicator with proven experience in operations to help scale processes and systems that inspire the organization to expand. The ideal candidate has operational expertise and a strong desire to build systems that enable big ideas to scale. The successful candidate will need to be open, creative and analytical. They will need to be able to multitask, outline a clear process, identify issues, make and implement recommendations and help ensure overall operations are running smoothly.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Digital Security Speacialist will be integral part of the team tasked with the responsibility to ensure device, data and network security for our consulting clients. The Specialist will work closely with TSG and our clients to verify IT policies and procedure adhere to standards, such as HIPAA and NIST.

KEY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Responsible for all aspects of Network and Data security for Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability

  • Analyze, design and recommend security requirements for all systems and networks

  • Must be able to configure, support and maintain security tools and devices such as firewalls, AV software.

  • Ensure Security best practices implement for Office 365 infrastructure

  • Oversee and monitor routine security administration

  • Work with clients to develop a maintenance plan in order to ensure business continuity and disaster recovery protocols are updated accordingly

  • Create documentation that can be used to train employees in security awareness, policies and procedures

  • Research, stay current and recommend security upgrades for all hardware and software

  • Work with stakeholders and develop a comprehensive plan for ongoing network and data protection

  • Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

  • Proven experience in network and/or security systems

  • Working and hands-on knowledge of firewalls

  • Highly motivated - self-starter, proactive and detail oriented

  • Is resourceful and willing to take initiative

  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical personnel

A Plus:

  • Healthcare environment work experience

  • Microsoft Server 2008 or higher experience

  • Experience with Peplink firewall/router technologies

  • Experience in any of the following, NextGen, MyAvatar, ADL, FundEZ

Digital OPSEC Instructor (Part Time or Full Time) – Westchester County

TSG’s training division is based in New York. We are searching for an Westchester-based instructor for our Digital OPSEC courses. There are opportunities to work either part-time or full-time.

We are primarily looking for a part-time instructor; however, we would consider the right candidate for a full-time position.

All classes are hybrid, with some in-person (in Westchester County) and others online (via Zoom).

You should have proficiency in all of the following, as well as the ability to teach it to people who do not have prior experience in the platforms or topics:

  • Teaching experience

  • Experience using Zoom and/or other online meeting platforms

  • Have experience teaching diverse groups in a classroom setting

  • Be available to teach weekdays 9AM – 5PM at our clients facilities throughout Westchester County (there may be an opportunity for evening and weekend classes 10AM – 5PM as well)

Great to have but not required:

  • Experience with using password managers, two-factor authentication softwere application and/or hardware keys.
